COVID-19 Continuity of Operations Policy and Use of Face Masks

The University of Arizona is committed to:

  • The health and safety of students, faculty, staff, researchers and designated campus colleagues
  • The continuity of research operations with modifications to observe CDC guidelines to minimize disease transmission
  • Ensuring laboratory safety that minimizes risk to human and animal subjects
  • Based on current public health conditions and aligned with CDC guidance, masks are recommended, but not required, in most indoor spaces including classrooms.

  • The University will provide surgical masks in building front entrances, classrooms, and other large sites. Surgical and KN95 masks will also be provided upon request. 

  • These requirements apply to all faculty, staff, students, designated campus colleagues and visitors to the University of Arizona campus or University locations.
